When trying to start a test using Sauce Dashboard you might be presented with this error:
Sauce Connect is Disabled
Sauce Connect/VPN for Public Cloud is currently disabled. To
enable this feature for your team, contact your organization admin.
This error message is referring to a setting that can be accessed by admins of an organization that will enable the use of Sauce Connect.
You can access the setting with an organization admin account by navigating to the Sauce Labs Dashboard and following the menu list as follows:
Team Management -> Organization Settings(Click View Settings Button) -> Security Tab
Team Management is located under the drop down selector that looks like a person in the upper right of the screen:
Organization Settings is located in the upper middle of the next page.
Clicking View Settings will land you on the Security Tab where you can find the ENABLE SAUCE CONNECT PROXY/VPN FOR PUBLIC CLOUD DEVICES Selector.
Enabling this will allow users in the Organization to use Sauce Connect when testing.
This setting is set per datacenter and must be set on for each region if you have users working across multiple datacenters.
