During a scheduled maintenance on May 23, 2020, Sauce Labs made updates to its SSO certificate. SSO access governs access to the Sauce web-based portal. Users who are running automated tests, using the APIs, or accessing the portal using credentials (i.e. not through SSO) should not be impacted by any changes discussed here.
However, there is one significant change that could impact users that log into Sauce via an SSO provider:
Encrypted Assertions - Some clients use the Sauce SSO certificate for encrypting assertions. During the maintenance window, Sauce replaced this certificate. This means that any customer who is still using the outdated cert will not be able to login. Tests will still run as normal, but they will not be able to see the results in the Sauce dashboard. Updating the certificate is a simple process that is similar to setting up SSO:
- Follow this link to view the metadata from our side: https://saucelabs.com/sso/metadata/
- Copy the new certificate
- Paste that certificate into your configuration within your identity provider
